Janitor/Light Maintenance Technician


The Janitor/Light Maintenance role helps ensure that LMLC is clean, safe, and presents a premier experience for our children, families, teachers, and staff. This role is responsible for normal cleaning and maintenance while performing light maintenance to ensure the center is in optimum condition.


Center/Daily Operations:

  • Overall responsibility for cleaning center to include classrooms, commons areas, and exterior of the center
  • Responsible for identifying and performing light maintenance as needed
  • Responsible for coordinating with the Director to ensure that each team member is accountable to their role in cleaning and maintenance
  • Follow all rules and regulations set forth by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Rules 407

At least 19 years of age and have own transportation.
Must be able to pass a caregiver and other background checks per state and local requirements.


Light maintenance and repair experience;
Knowledge of safe cleaning practices.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to attend work as required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
