Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description JOB This position is responsible for administering public information, communication, marketing and social media responsibilities for the Village's operating departments.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Village Administrator, this position will work across functions and departments in the development of print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to newsletters, social media, and press releases.
This is a hybrid role, reporting to the office two days per week.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The following duties are normal for this position.

Other duties may be required and assigned.
o Plans, develops, designs and produces a wide variety of promotional materials, newsletters, reports, displays, advertisements, flyers, multi-media projects, etc.
for external and internal use.
o Communicates with residents, businesses, organizations, etc.
via all media forms, including email, phone, face to face, social media sites, and the Village website.
o Serves as the Social Media Coordinator.
Develops and administers content to promote services, activities and programs; formulates communications policies; monitors visitors' posts and practices social listening.
Develops social media campaigns for special events, programs, and initiatives.
Identifies new ways to use social media to engage the community.
o Creates marketing materials utilizing various software programs including, but not limited to Adobe Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and video editing software.
Photographs and records program participants and events for publication and promotion.
o Assists with the gathering of information to identify and define marketing opportunities and issues within the Village.
Generates, refines, and evaluates marketing actions, monitors marketing performance, and improves understanding of marketing as a process.
o Assists with designing the method of collecting information, managing and implementing the data collection process, analyzing the results, and communicating the findings and their implications.
o Develops and disseminates external communications such as press releases as needed for specific initiatives.
o Supports the maintenance of the Village website.
Monitors analytics, manages and publishes content, assists with technical issues, and provides support to other web editors as needed.
o Participates in the coordination of select Village special events and community input sessions.
o Assists with advertising sponsors for community events.
o Utilizes proper safety precautions related to all work performed and adheres to all departmental and Village safety policies.
Advises supervisor of hazards and corrective actions.
o Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; or equivalent experience working in communications; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
o Must possess a valid driver's license.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
